SPI liked the white stucco, labyrinth style house and sought to make the additions feel as if they were original to the structure. They expanded and reshaped the pool and hot tub, adding an infinity edge to both, and resurfaced them in ocean blue mosaic tile. The large hot tub now accommodates fifteen people. A changing room, outdoor shower, and flagstone fountain were also added to the pool area.

The third-floor upper terrace was leveled to create a flat deck partially covered with a palapa that provides shelter from the sun. A fully equipped outdoor bar, complete with a commercial grade BBQ, was designed for convenient entertaining, and a stone fire pit was built for nighttime ambiance. SPI designed large concrete planters to blend with the style of the house. Native plants chosen by the landscape architect fill the planters and disguise any unwanted views.

To address the interior, SPI began from the top and worked down. The third floor was divided into three areas: an oceanfront suite, a media/entertainment room, and a hillside bedroom that provided the clients with the extra bedroom they desired. On the second floor is the master suite and master bathroom, complete with a two-person tub carved out of travertine. The first floor consists of the main living area with a smaller bedroom tucked into the hillside. Large floor-to-ceiling glass doors were installed to provide a seamless connection between the indoor living area and the outdoor pool area. All six bathrooms were gutted and redesigned with custom fabricated white marble sinks, marquetry style cabinetry, and oil-rubbed bronze bath fixtures.
